How do I perform a BitBox device check for my Unchained account?

Sign into your Unchained account, view the key you want to check, and click 'Check now'.

Device checks are regular check-ins to ensure the keys to your Unchained vault or loan are accessible and functioning.

How to perform a device check using your BitBox:

  1. Sign in to your Unchained account using a supported browser.
  2. Navigate to the Keys page to see a full list of keys.
  3. Select the key you want to check.
  4. Click Check now.

  5. Select BitBox and click Next.
  6. Plug in and tap the bottom of your BitBox.
  7. Select Connect to BitBox.
  8. Unlock your BitBox by entering your device password.
  9. Confirm exporting the xpub on the BitBox.
    • Your Bitbox will warn you that the xpub derivation path is unusual. You can safely ignore the message and proceed confirm exporting the xpub on the device.
  10. Success! You’re done.
