How do I sign a transaction using my key that I’m sharing with another person?
Follow the link in your email or click the notification bell.
If you share a key with someone, they can request your key signature at any time. We recommend regularly communicating with your connection partner outside of the Unchained platform. If, for any reason, you are unable to sign a transaction, please inform them and cooperate to find a solution.
The vault owner can also request Unchained to sign at any time.
How to provide a requested signature:
- Find the transaction page.
- Use the link in your email, or
- Click the notification bell in your account to view the request, or
- Navigate to the Connections page, select your connection, and choose their vault.
- Select the name of your shared key and choose your hardware wallet type.
- Follow the instructions to sign with your hardware wallet.
That’s it! The vault owner is responsible for the second key signature as well as broadcasting the transaction.
