How do I create a strong password?

Use a password manager to create long, unique passwords.

Using a strong password is important for more than just your Unchained account; you should use strong passwords for all of your accounts. Email accounts, online banking, payment apps, and cloud storage accounts are critical to protect.

Note: In addition to a strong password, it’s important to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your Unchained account and on your other accounts.

We recommend using a password manager app to store these passwords. There are many options, but we’ve listed some common ones below as well as password creation best practices:

Password creation best practices:

Use a different password for each website or account.
Generate passwords randomly using your password manager.
Enable multi-factor authentication for your password manager by following the app’s instructions.
Passwords should be at least 12 characters long with a mix of numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters, and symbols.
