How do I share a key with someone?

Manage your shared keys from the Connections tab.

When you share a key with someone, they can see the name of your key, create a vault using that key, and request that you sign transactions. The vault owner is not able to modify your key or perform key checks.

How to share a key:

  1. Sign in to your Unchained account and navigate to the Connections page on the left side menu.
  2. Click View on an existing connection.

  3. Press Select a key to share and select one or more of your keys to share.

  4. Read the important disclaimer and click Share this key.

How to stop sharing a key:

  1. Click View on an existing connection.
  2. Click the trash can icon next to the shared key.

Removing a shared key will prevent your connection partner from creating any new vaults with the shared key. If the shared key is already used in an existing vault, the vault owner can still request key signatures from the key owner.
