What do I need to open a Personal Account?

To get started, you'll need to provide some personal information.

All clients, even those located outside of the U.S. must provide personal information before using the Unchained platform. We do not offer joint accounts; each applicant must create their own profile. Please do not create an account for another person.

  • Phone number
  • Government-issued photo ID
      • Driver’s license
      • Passport
      • State-issued ID w/ photo
      • Permanent Resident “Green Card”
      • US Employment Authorization Card w/ photo
  • Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification number
  • Employment information
  • Financial information 

Additional requests for information

Once you submit your application, Unchained may ask for additional information. If this is the case, an Unchained staff member will contact you. To avoid delays in using your account, please monitor your email address.

Why does Unchained need to verify my identity?

Unchained must verify each transaction in which Unchained is requested to sign. Even if you do not intend to use Unchained’s key, we must verify the identity of every applicant.

Identity verification allows us to ensure that all our users are genuine. We designed our products for long-term savings and generational wealth. Identity verification assists Unchained in supporting heirs and beneficiaries to recover assets after their loved ones are gone.
