How do I reset my multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

You can reset your MFA passkey or TOTP codes with your email address.

If you lose a passkey, get a new cell phone, or lose your MFA for any reason, you can reset it.

Caution: If you believe your account has been compromised, place a security lock on your account and contact our team immediately.

How to reset your MFA

  1. Use your email and password to sign in to your account at my.unchained.com.
  2. When prompted for a passkey or TOTP code, click Reset MFA.
  3. Check your email. We will send you a link to reset your MFA. Open the email from Unchained and click the link.
  4. Record your verification video by reading the script on your screen. We will send you an email confirmation once we disable your MFA, typically within one business day.
  5. Using the link in your email, sign back into your account and re-enable MFA.

Tip: Always ensure when clicking links in emails that they come from an authentic source. Read more about protecting yourself from phishing on the Unchained blog.
