Our trading desk enables you to quickly buy bitcoin directly into your Unchained vault.
Buying bitcoin
Follow these steps to complete a bitcoin purchase:
- Ensure your account is enabled for trading.
- Navigate to my.unchained.com and sign in to your account.
- Select the Buy button on the lower-left of your Unchained dashboard.
- Enter the amount you want to purchase, select the vault destination from the drop-down, and click Preview buy.
- Review your transaction details.
- You will receive a live quote that refreshes every six seconds. Once you are ready to confirm the purchase, check the box to agree to Unchained’s Terms of Service and click Execute Buy.
If the trade succeeds, you will receive a confirmation screen. From there, if the trade amount cannot be fully settled via your Cash Balance and you must wire in additional funds, you’ll be presented with wire transfer instructions.
If the trade occurs before 3:00 PM CT, we must receive the wire by the end of the business day, and after 3:00 PM CT, we must receive the wire the following business day. Wires must come from the bank listed in your Unchained account.
Caution: You may only deposit funds via wire transfer at this time. We will not automatically deduct funds from your bank account. Failure to wire funds may be subject to additional fees.
Buying bitcoin on your mobile device
You can also use the Unchained mobile app to complete a bitcoin purchase:
- Download Unchained’s Apple iOS App .
- Sign in using your Unchained email and password.
- Enable Face ID to enhance your security.
- Select Buy from the lower-left of your Unchained dashboard.
- Enter the amount you would like to purchase, select the vault destination from the drop-down, and click Preview buy.
- Review the transaction details and select Execute Buy.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if you’ve received my wire?
It may take several hours for your bank to process your wire transfer. As soon as Unchained receives your wire, you’ll be notified via the contact information you have on file.
Where can I find wire transfer instructions?
You can find the wire transfer instructions by clicking the “Deposit” button under your cash balance. You can also access wire transfer instructions within the buy experience.
