How do I delete my account?

Follow the steps below to remove an account from your profile.

You may have multiple accounts under the same profile with the same sign-in information, for example a business or IRA account. Click on your account name in the lower-left corner of your screen to switch between accounts.

How to delete a personal account:

We do not currently allow clients to delete their personal account on their own. Please call our Client Services team at +1 (844) 486-2424. Our business hours are Mon-Fri 9:00 AM CST - 5:00 PM CST. Remember to withdraw your bitcoin and close any active loans before requesting account deletion.

When you request to delete your account, our Client Services team will schedule a short video verification meeting to confirm your identity and complete the request.

How to delete an in-progress business or IRA application:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click on your account name on the lower-left corner of your screen to show all of your account types.
3. Hover the curser over the in-progress account and click the trash can icon.
   

How to delete a business account:

If you never deposited bitcoin into a business vault:

You can delete the business account yourself if you never held a bitcoin balance.

1. Sign in to your account.
2. If you have an active vault, navigate to your Vaults page, select your vault, and click the three dots next to your vault name. Choose Delete.
3. Click Account settings, then Manage users.
4. Select Close account.
5. That's it! You'll no longer receive any invoices or payment reminders for a closed account.
   
   
   
   

If you did deposit bitcoin into your business vault, even once:

If you never funded your IRA account:

You can delete the IRA account yourself if you never held a bitcoin balance.

1. Sign in to your account.
2. If you have an active vault, navigate to your Vaults page, select your vault, and click the three dots next to your vault name. Choose Delete.
3. Click Account settings, then Manage.
4. Select Close account.
5. That's it! You'll no longer receive any invoices or payment reminders for a closed account.
   
   

If you did deposit funds into your IRA account, even once:

Please contact our IRA team at ira@unchained.com. We'll help you withdraw or transfer funds from your Unchained account before closing it.
